Why we rebuilt this site
An earlier version of tea.surf described eight surf houses, each with its own resident tea master and a booking link. None of it was real — there was no villa network, no residencies, and the “reserve” links on those pages went nowhere. We took it down rather than leave it up with the booking links quietly removed and the rest of the fiction intact.
What’s here now is smaller and plainer: a three-part tea ritual built around the actual physiology of a surf day, one real travel kit cross-linked to tea.equipment, and a journal of travel notes on real, well-known surf spots — including an honest account of where each one actually stands on Chinese tea (usually nowhere, which is fine; that was never the point of visiting them).
